Our Basic Principles

1. AV Christian Retreat Centre is committed to spiritual renewal, Biblical teaching, enrichment of family life, and development of Christian leadership and potential.
2. All prayer ministry, workshops, seminars and retreats will be Christ-centred.
3. There are no sponsors, or advertising donations to the centre. They are accepted as gifts, inspired by God, and are deductible for income tax purposes. There will be no Government funding for building projects. There will be no direct appeal for funds.
4. AV is for people of all Christian faiths who accept our statement of faith; operates under a board of directors. It is open to all who need rest, retreat from turmoil, tension and stress of modern living, including families.
5. Although the building may be booked on weekends for chapel services and AV sponsored retreats and conferences, it may be used during the week for community related activities and by those on individual retreats.
6. To keep costs at a minimal, occasionally guests will be invited to help with housekeeping chores, care of the grounds and gardens, and wood chopping, etc.
7. The programs at the centre will be designed to work with and complement the teaching, healing, and caring ministries of local churches.
8. Giving thanks to God before meals, devotions and Bible studies are an integral part of the spiritual life of the Centre.
9. AV is a charitable organization and as such abides by all municipal, provincial and federal laws.
10. There will be no charge for prayer advice at AV.
